Eddie Genborg is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound left wing from Trollhattan, Sweden, who is considered a hard-working, two-way forward. Genborg turned 18 in April and has been playing for Linköping for a few years. The physical forechecker scored 19 goals with 15 assists in 28 regular season games with the J20 team and added three points in three postseason contests. In the World Junior Championships for the U18 team, Genborg collected three assists in seven games as Sweden won the Silver Medal. Genborg will be playing for Timra IK during the 2025-26 season.

Eddie Genborg is ranked by some hockey evaluators in the top 40 in the upcoming draft as a winger. The following list will show the scouting rankings for Eddie Genborg:

Scouting Report

Genborg is a ferocious forechecker who creates a lot of his offense off of disruption and going hard to the net. He is a hustler on the ice and plays a physical game that is suited for a bottom-six player projection. What holds back Genborg is a limited offensive skill set, raw abilities, and handling the puck. His game might not fit into today’s NHL of speed and skill. However, he is an intriguing pick because of his mature physical style and ability to win puck battles.

Projection:

First Round – #45 Philadelphia
