The Jacksonville Icemen have announced many player movements this week. Jacksonville has obtained Brandon Puricelli in a trade with the Cincinnati Cyclones. This trade completed the future considerations the team made with Cincinnati following the trade terms of the November 21st trade. Nick Isaacson of the Jacksonville Icemen was sent to Cincinnati.
Puricelli joined the Jacksonville Icemen following this season, playing with both Cincinnati and the Allen Americans. Puricelli played a combined 56 games, accumulating for 20 points through nine goals and 11 assists.
The Icemen have also announced that goaltender Michael Houser has been recalled by Rochester Americans. Forward Brendan Harris has been placed on loan to the AHL’s organization, Cleveland Monsters. Harris has played in 58 games this season with the Icemen. He has scored 19 times and tallied 57 assists this season. Harris currently leads the Icemen organization in points and assists and is ranked third on the team for goals. Houser has played in 23 games this season, combining for a 10 – 10 win/loss record. Houser has had 2 shut-out games, one of which came from Sunday’s game against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on March 17th. Houser also has a 0.907 save percentage on the year.
The Jacksonville Icemen will be back at home this week. They will face the Trois-Rivieres Lions on Wednesday, March 20th at 7 pm. Following that, they will face the Greenville Swamp Rabbits back at home, on Friday, March 22nd, and Saturday, March 23rd. Both games will be played at 7 pm.
