The Winnipeg Jets announced today that they’ve recalled forward Brad Lambert from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Manitoba Moose.
This is Lambert’s second time being called up this season. His previous stint saw him play four games before being reassigned to the Manitoba Moose. He has yet to record an NHL point in the 2024-25 season.
Lambert, 21, has 16 points (3G, 13A) in 29 games played with the Moose this season. He has taken a step back after his 55-point (21G, 34A) rookie season, but the scoring struggles have found their way through the entire Moose lineup.
Lambert, a 30th overall draft selection in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, has appeared in five NHL games to date where he has one point, an assist that came in his NHL debut at the end of the 2023-24 season.
The Jets’ lineup is thinner down the middle past Mark Scheifele and Vladislav Namestnikov with Adam Lowry out week-to-week with an upper-body injury. It could mean that Lambert gets a longer NHL run, but time will tell.
It is expected that Lambert will find his way into NHL action tonight as the Winnipeg Jets are facing off against the Utah Hockey Club. Forward Nikolaj Ehlers did not practice with the team according to head coach Scott Arniel. Arniel hopes that Ehlers feels better enough to play tonight against Utah, but Lambert’s recall and projection in the lineup
The Jets are hoping to rebound against Utah tonight after Monday’s loss. Puck drop is set for 7:00 pm CST.
