Henry Brzustewicz is a 6’1” defenseman from Washington, Michigan. In 67 games for the London Knights during the 2024-25 OHL season, Brzustewicz scored 10 goals and added 32 assists. Additionally, in 17 playoff games for the Knights, Brzustewicz scored one goal and added four assists.

Brzustewicz is a big, right-shot defenseman who doesn’t play with flash but does everything well. That is not to say that Brzustewicz does not have the skill to make flashier plays. Brzustewicz is an elusive skater who can activate in the offensive zone. After his second season with the London Knights, Brzustewicz earned valuable experience in the OHL playoffs.

Henry Brzustewicz is ranked as a mid-first to early-second round draft prospect by most major scouting services:

Scouting Report:

Henry Brzustewicz is a big defensive prospect at 6’1” and 194 pounds. Despite this size, Brzustewicz tends to be pushed off the puck from time to time. In his second season for the London Knights, Brzustewicz scored 10 goals and added 32 assists in 67 games. Additionally, Brzustewicz scored one goal and added four assists in 17 playoff games for the Knights.

A right-handed shot is coveted in today’s NHL. This makes Brzustewicz a player any NHL team would love to have. However, Brzustewicz’s lack of physical play is a drawback that can be resolved. According to Jim Bay of The Hockey Writers, The Hockey Writers’ Lukas Bernasiewicz sees Brzustewicz as a top-four defenseman who plays a lot of time on the power play and gets a lot of points on the man advantage. Brzutewicz is like Erik Karlsson when Karlsson played with the Ottawa Senators.

Projection:

Second Round – Washington #37
