Mateo Nobert is a small center for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. Listed at 6’0”, the Beaconsfield, Quebec, Canada native is a deceptive center who knows where his wingers are always on the ice. This allows Nobert to pass them the puck, which opens the ice for his linemates. During his second season with the Armada, Nobert’s scoring output increased.

Nobert finished the 2024-25 Blainville-Boisbriand Armada season ranking third on the team in scoring with 67 points in 57 games played in the regular season. Additionally, Nobert had two goals and three assists in four playoff games for the Armada. Nobert has a late birthday, meaning that he is one of the youngest players in the 2025 NHL draft.

Mateo Nobert is projected to be a second-round draft pick in this year’s draft:

Scouting Report:

Mateo Nobert is a small player who relies on a high hockey IQ to succeed. The Beaconsfield, Quebec, native has a high motor that allows him to make plays. Nobert also has a high-end offensive skillset. Converting 0.98% of his two Grade ‘A’ chances per game is reason enough for Nobert to be drafted.

At only 6’0”, Nobert is a small player but plays with a high motor. Nobert plays with a chip on his shoulder that allows him to process the game at a high level. His high hockey IQ allows Nobert to play at both ends of the ice. Peter Baracchini of The Hockey Writers noted Nobert’s ability to play with a high motor. Baracchini criticizes Nobert for his lack of strength at only 166 pounds. Nobert does have time to grow into his 6’0” frame.
