William Moore is a 6’2” center who played 64 regular-season games for the U.S.A. National under-18 team, scoring 27 goals and added 32 assists in the 2024-25 National Team Development Program season. Additionally, Moore scored 10 goals and added 11 assists for the USNTDP Junior team of the USHL in 25 regular-season games.
The Mississauga, Ontario, Canada native has seen his offensive output drop as his career with the USNTDP progresses. This is troubling but not necessarily surprising given his body type. Rightly or wrongly, some big prospects are seen to tend to “float” on the ice. If he lands in the right system, Moore has all of the offensive upside and willingness to play both ways; Moore can become a middle-six center in the NHL.
William Moore is ranked as a late first-round to mid-second-round draft prospect by most rankings:

Scouting Report:
William Moore is a big prospect at 6’2” who had top 10 prospect buzz before the 2024-25 season. Moore’s decrease in scoring output has caused his draft stock to fall. In 64 games for the United States National Team Development Program, Moore scored 27 goals and added 32 assists. Additionally, Moore scored 10 goals and added 11 assists for the USNTDP Juniors of the USHL in 2025 during the 2024-25 season.
“Moore has the ability to take over shifts offensively.” Justin Giampietro of The Hockey Writers has written that one of the downfalls of Moore’s game is his lack of strength when playing with the puck. Moore will sometimes get shrugged off the puck and is unwilling to work in the corners, says Giampietro. This sentiment was echoed by Jason Bukala of Sportsnet.
