Adam Gaudette has been claimed off waivers by the Ottawa Senators. Gaudette spent the first three seasons in Vancouver before being traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. During his tenure in Chicago, Gaudette struggled to get in the lineup, playing fifteen games in a Chicago sweater. During those games, he tallied two goals and four assists. Gaudette was a -5 in the season and a half with the Blackhawks. Hopefully, Ottawa will play him more in a skill-based role and allow his abilities to show through. Chicago never allowed him to showcase his offensive upside. While playing in Chicago, Gaudette was manly in a bottom-six grind-it-out role. With Ottawa being a younger rebuilding team, he could get the opportunity to see ice time on the power play, maybe even get a look inside of the top six. Best of luck to Adam Gaudette and the Ottawa Senators.
