Adirondack Thunder Re-Sign Yannick Turcotte

The Adirondack Thunder announced on Thursday via Facebook Live that they have re-signed forward Yannick Turcotte for the 2023-24 season, “the hope is that he can play 60+ games for us next season,” said head coach Pete MacArthur. Turcotte made his return to hockey last season after playing only two games in the 2020-21 season and then missing all of the 2021-22 season. In 23 games last season, he put up two goals and three assists for five points which included three points in his final four games before getting hurt, most notably adding 71 minutes in penalties but became a fan favorite in Glens Falls; his season was cut short due to a season-ending shoulder injury suffered at the end of January. There’s a lot to like about Turcotte, as he adds an element of toughness that Adirondack has been known to struggle with, and as head coach Pete MacArthur said, “He can play up and down the lineup.” The 27-year-old forward has played in 150 ECHL games putting up six goals and 23 assists for 29 points, along with 607 PIMs, as he’s spent time with the Adirondack Thunder, South Carolina Stingrays, and Worcester Railers.
