Adirondack Thunder Transactions Graphic

The Adirondack Thunder had a busy Tuesday as they would make a trade with the Florida Everblades, as well as getting some healthy bodies who are expected to be back in the lineup for tomorrow night’s game vs Norfolk.

Adirondack Acquires Adrian Bisson

Adirondack has finally acquired a defenseman as they traded for Florida Everblades defenseman Adrien Bisson in exchange for future considerations. Bisson, 26, played in 10 games this season with the Everblades, where he had four assists in 10 games and one assist in nine games at the end of last season. The Cornwall, Ontario native is also coming off an injury that has kept him out of the lineup since December 5th.

There’s no question that the Thunder need help on the blueline with Kurt Gosselin going down with what is expected to be a long-term injury and James Marooney being added to the 3-Day IR today. Ty Gibson was also activated off the 3-Day IR for the Thunder. I would expect Bisson to be in the lineup for Friday’s game at Worcester, as I would be relatively shocked if he’s in the lineup tomorrow night.

Kishaun Gervais Expected to Make Season Debut Tomorrow

Kishaun Gervais, who was acquired from the Tulsa Oilers earlier this year, looks like he will play tomorrow night vs Norfolk. Gervais, 23, has played in seven games this season, putting up four goals and an assist for five points. He began his season in Finland, where he had six goals and two assists for eight points in 22 games.

“He’s gonna add a lot of spunk, high engergy, skill, and grit. All that willingness is ADK style player”

Head Coach Pete MacArthur on what Gervais is going to bring to the lineup

To make room on the active roster for Gervais, the Thunder placed Savva Smirnov on reserve. Smirnov has played in six games for Adirondack but has yet to find the scoresheet.
