ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Transactions | 11/19/2024

Adirondack Thunder Transactions Graphic

The Adirondack Thunder made some moves on Tuesday, including getting another body from the Utica Comets as Josh Filmon, originally recalled to Utica yesterday, will join the team for their Southern road trip. The 20-year-old winger has played 12 career games with the Comets while putting up one goal. He had one assist during last weekend’s three-in-three vs Reading Royals. I would expect Filmon to be in the lineup tomorrow night vs Jacksonville Icemen.

Injury Updates

Ryan Wheeler, who missed Saturday and Sunday’s games against the Reading Royals, has been activated from the three-day IR and is expected to play for Adirondack on Wednesday Night. The Lancaster, NY native has been a major part of the Thunder roster since moving to forward last year, where he put up ten goals and 12 assists for 22 points in 61 games and would add four goals and an assist in five games during the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

The injuries on the blue line continue as after getting Darian Skeoch back on Sunday, the Thunder will now be without Brendan Less (undisclosed injury) for at least the first two games of their four-game road trip. Less is in his second year with the Thunder as he put up two goals and 11 assists for 13 points in 44 games in what was an injury-shortned season for him. Less has played in eight of the nine games for the Thunder this season but has yet to find the scoresheet. Expect Ty Gibson and James Marooney to see some more playing time in his absence.
