AHL: Abbotsford Canucks Re-Sign Two Forward & A Defenseman

The defending Calder Cup Champion Abbotsford Canucks General Manager Ryan Johnson announced today the team has re-signed two forwards and a defenseman. The two forwards are Dino Kambeitz and Cooper Walker, while the defenseman is Joe Arntsen. Kambeitz signed a one-year deal for the 2025-26 season. Walker’s deal is a two-year deal through the 2026-27 season. Arntsen, like Walker, has signed a two-year deal through the 2026–27 season.

Dino Kambeitz

Kambeitz, in 52 games this season, had 14 points on ten goals and four assists. He posted a plus-three rating, scored two shorthanded goals, including a game-winner, and accumulated 45 penalty minutes. In eight playoff games this season, he didn’t record a point, was a minus-three, and had two penalty minutes. In four seasons with Abbotsford, he’s played in 224 games, recording 58 points on 32 goals and 26 assists. He is a +28 with two power-play goals, four shorthanded goals, five game-winning goals, and 136 penalty minutes.

Cooper Walker

Walker, in 34 games this season, had ten points on five goals and five assists. He was a plus-seven with ten penalty minutes. He didn’t play in the Canucks Calder Cup run this season. He’s spent two seasons in Abbotsford, playing in 47 games, recording 11 points on six goals and five assists. He is a plus-three with ten penalty minutes.

Joe Arntsen

Arntsen, in ten games this season, scored a goal. He was a minus-two with ten penalty minutes. He played in two playoff games, finishing as a minus-one.
