
The defending Calder Cup Champions re-signed three players yesterday and continued that trend today, signing forward Ben Berard, as well as Zachary Okabe and goalie Jonathan Lemieux. All three deals are AHL deals for the 2025-26 season.

Ben Berard
Berard last season appeared in four games for the Canucks, scoring two goals. He was a plus-one with four penalty minutes. In 47 games for the Kalamazoo Wings, he had 40 points on 20 goals and 20 assists. He was a minus-one with five power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, three game-winning goals, and 30 penalty minutes. Before joining the Canucks he spent two seasons with the Texas Stars, playing in 32 games, recording five points on a goal and four assists. He was a plus-two with a game-winning goal and six penalty minutes.
Zachary Okabe
Okabe spent all last season with the Kalamazoo Wings, playing in 72 games. He recorded 41 points on 19 goals and 22 assists. He was a -21 with seven power-play goals, three game-winning goals, and 25 penalty minutes. The season prior, he played in nine games with the Cleveland Monsters, recording three points on two goals and an assist. He was a plus-one with a game-winning goal and two penalty minutes.
Jonathan Lemieux
Lemieux appeared in 40 games with the Wings last season. He went 14-19-4 with a 3.08 ERA, a .905 save percentage, and two shutouts. He’s spent two seasons with the Wings, combining to make 79 appearances, going 31-35-7 with a 2.96 goals-against average, and four shutouts.
