AHL: Bakersfield Condors Sign Four

The Bakersfield Condors announced moments ago the signing of four players. The four players are two forwards and two defensemen. The forwards are Matthew Brown and Trevor Janicke. The defenseman are Mats Lindgren and Luke Prokop.

Matthew Brown

The 26-year-old forward spent last season in Lehigh Valley, where in four games he didn’t record a point. He was a plus-one. He also played in 54 games for the Reading Royals. Brown had 41 points on 19 goals and 22 assists. He was a minus-eight with three power-play goals, a game-winning goal, and eight penalty minutes. In four Kelly Cup Playoff games, he had an assist as well as finishing with a minus-three

Trevor Janicke

Janicke, a 24-year-old forward, played in 15 games for the Calgary Wranglers last season, recording an assist. He was a plus-one with two penalty minutes. Janicke also appeared in 30 games for the Rapid City Rush in the ECHL, recording 25 points on 11 goals and 14 assists. He was a minus-one with four power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, three game-winning goals, and 12 penalty minutes.

Mats Lindgren

Lindgren, a 20-year-old defenseman, played in just seven games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. He was held pointless and finished as a minus-three with eight penalty minutes. In 56 games for the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL, he had 21 points on seven goals and 14 assists. He was a plus-four with two power-play goals, a game-winning goal, and ten penalty minutes. In five Kelly Cup Playoff games, he was held pointless, finishing as a minus-three with two penalty minutes.

Luke Prokop

Prokop is the only signing today who spent all of last season in the AHL after playing in 31 games for the Milwaukee Admirals. The 23-year-old defenseman had four points on a goal and three assists. He was a plus-three with six penalty minutes.
