
The Bridgeport Islanders have a new head coach for the 2025-26 season, and now they have a new goaltender. The Islanders signed goalie Parker Gahagen to a 2025-26 AHL contract. In 22 games this season, he went 12-4-3 for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He posted a .916 save percentage, a 2.39 goals-against average, and a shutout. In five playoff games, he went 3-1-0 with a .929 save percentage and a 2.00 goals-against average. In ten ECHL games this season, he went 4-5-1 with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.

Parker Gahagen
Gahagen just finished his seventh AHL season. He’s played for the Phantoms, Milwaukee Admirals, Colorado Eagles, Toronto Marlies, and San Jose Barracuda. In 52 career games, he is 24-16-6 with a 2.67 goals-against average, a .909 save percentage, and a shutout. Gahagen played his college hockey at Army. In 110 games, he went 40-49-16 with a 2.40 goals-against average, a .926 save percentage, and ten shutouts. He also played 124 games in the ECHL, posting a 72-35-5 record with a 2.33 goals-against average. In nine Kelly Cup Playoff games, he went 3-5-1 with a 3.17 goals-against average. Gahagen in 2019-20, he also played in the SPHL with the Evansville Thunderbolts. In six games, he went 3-2-0 with a 2.63 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.
