
The Calgary Wranglers brought back two of their own this morning as they extended forwards David Silye and Carter Wilkie. They also signed goalie Connor Murphy. Silye last season played in 55 games for the Wranglers, recording 14 points on six goals and eight assists. He was a minus-six with a shorthanded goal and 38 penalty minutes. He also played in two Calder Cup Playoff games, recording an assist; he was a minus-one. Wilkie played in nine games for the Wranglers last season, recording three points on two goals and an assist. He was a plus-three with a game-winning goal and six penalty minutes. Murphy played in four games for the Wranglers, going 2-2-0 with a 4.14 goals-against average and .881 save percentage. He also played in 25 games in the ECHL with the Rapid City Rush. Murphy went 12-8-4 with a 3.02 goals-against average, a .914 save percentage, and two shutouts.

David Silye
Silye played four seasons in college, spending a season at Clarkson University, two seasons at Minnesota State University, and a season at the University of Wisconsin. In 139 games, he had 91 points on 40 goals and 51 assists. He was a +11 with 16 power-play goals, five game-winning goals, and 59 penalty minutes. He then played in two games for the Wranglers after Wisconsin, but he was held pointless and was a minus-two.
Carter Wilkie
Wilkie spent three seasons at RIT, playing in 117 games, recording 111 points on 43 goals and 68 assists. He was a +33 with 11 power-play goals, five shorthanded goals, ten game-winning goals, and 147 penalty minutes. He then transferred to the University of North Dakota. In 38 games, he had 18 points on nine goals and nine assists. He was even in plus/minus with a power-play goal, two game-winning goals, and 42 penalty minutes.
Connor Murphy
Murphy spent two seasons at Northeastern, appearing in 23 games, going 9-9-3 with a 2.87 goals-against average, a .904 save percentage, and two shutouts. He then transferred to Union College, where in two seasons he appeared in 68 games, going 26-35-4 with a 2.96 goals-against average, a .906 save percentage, and five shutouts. In 2023-24, he played in 15 games for the Wranglers, going 4-4-3 with a 2.54 goals-against average, a .922 save percentage, and a shutout. In 18 games for Rapid City, he went 7-10-1 with a 3.43 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage.
