AHL: Charles Hudon Signs Overseas

The 31-year-old forward Charles Hudon is reportedly heading overseas for the 2025-26 season. Hudon is signing with Djurgårdens IF of the SHL. He spent this past season with the Ontario Reign playing in 67 games. Hudon recorded 64 points on 20 goals and 44 assists. He was a +15 with four power-play goals, six game-winning goals, and 57 penalty minutes. He finished fifth in the league in points and assists.

The Montreal Canadiens drafted Hudon with the 122nd overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He’s appeared in 503 career AHL games between the Reign, Hamilton Bulldogs, St. John’s IceCaps, Laval Rocket, Syracuse Crunch, and Colorado Eagles. He’s recorded 426 points on 201 goals and 225 assists. He is a +16 with 77 power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, 40 game-winning goals, and 467 penalty minutes. In 26 career Calder Cup Playoff games, he has 14 points on eight goals and six assists. He is a minus-two with two power-play goals, and 20 penalty minutes.

Hudon has appeared in 134 career NHL games between the Montreal Canadiens and Colorado Avalanche. He as 41 points on 14 goals and 27 assists. He is a -29 with three power-play goals, two game-winning goals, and 58 penalty minutes. In 2020-21, he played for Lausanne HC of the NL. In 33 games, he had 32 points on 15 goals and 17 assists. He was a +17 with 28 penalty minutes.
