Charlotte Checkers Sign Forward

The Charlotte Checkers are about to play back-to-back games against the Providence Bruins. These are two big games for these teams as they are separated by one point in the Atlantic Division. Providence can clinch a playoff berth with a win over Charlotte tonight. The Checkers, however, today have signed forward Christophe Tellier to a one-year, two-way contract for next season.

Christophe Tellier

Tellier is a 24-year-old 185-pound winger. He spent 2020-21 in the USHL with the Muskegon Lumberjacks, playing in 53 games. Tellier had 54 points on 22 goals, 32 assists, and was a +11. He joined Quinnipiac University in 2021-22, playing in 13 games, recording three assists, and was a plus-six. In 2022-23 with Quinnipiac, he played in 37 games, recording eight goals, 14 assists, and was a plus-nine. Last season, in 39 games with Quinnipiac, he recorded 26 points on seven goals, 19 assists, and was a +11. This season, he transferred to Northeastern University, playing in 36 games. Tellier recorded 18 points on five goals, 13 assists, and was a -12. He finished his collegiate career playing in 125 games, recording 69 points on 20 goals, 49 assists, and was a +14.
