The Coachella Valley Firebirds have announced the signing of forward Will Gavin to a contract for the 2025-26 season. Gavin played in 17 games for the Allen Americans this past season. He scored a goal and an assist, but he was minus-eight with 25 penalty minutes.

Gavin spent four seasons at the Air Force Academy. In his first season, in 14 games, he had eight points on three goals and five assists. He was a minus-six with two penalty minutes. In year two, he played in 35 games. Gavin had 29 points on 16 goals and 13 assists. He was a minus-two with two power-play goals, four game-winning goals, and 20 penalty minutes.
In his third season, he played in 35 games, recording 22 points on 11 goals and 11 assists. He was a -15 with two power-play goals, a game-winning goal, and 73 penalty minutes. In his final season, he played in 38 games, recording 36 points on 19 goals and 17 assists. He was a -12 with 11 power-play goals, three game-winning goals, and 22 penalty minutes. Gavin finished his four seasons playing in 122 games, recording 95 points on 49 goals and 46 assists. He was a -35 with 15 power-play goals, eight game-winning goals, and 124 penalty minutes.
