The Wolf Pack suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Wednesday. They dropped to 5-4-1-1, averaging 2.5 goals per game while allowing an average of 3.2 goals per game. Brendan Brisson scored his first goal as a member of the Wolf Pack on Wednesday night. Connor Mackey also has four points in his last four games. Hartford, managing to pick up a point on Wednesday, now trails Springfield for the final playoff spot in the Atlantic Division by four points.

Providence Bruins News & Notes:

Providence is currently on a two-game losing streak after dropping Tuesday and Wednesday’s games to the Charlotte Checkers. They lost Tuesday 6-3 and Wednesday 5-2. They had a chance to clinch a playoff spot with a win on Wednesday or a Hartford loss in regulation. Now they face the team they need to beat to clinch a spot in the Calder Cup playoffs. They are returning home after playing their last eight games on the road. They went 3-4-0-1, averaging 3.5 goals per game while allowing 3.1 goals per game. Oliver Wahlstrom has five points in his last four games with a goal and four assists.
