Matthew Poitras extended his point streak as he is now at five games recording six points on a goal and five assists. Jake Gaudet also recorded two assists in his debut with Providence.

The Thunderbirds suffered their second straight loss as they lost to the Syracuse Crunch last night 8-3. They were outscored 17-7 in two games against the Crunch. Springfield dropped to 4-3-0-0 on the month and are now averaging 3.3 goals per game while allowing four goals per game. They beat Providence in both games this month winning on March 1st 4-3 in a shootout and then last Saturday 2-1.
