
The Hartford Wolf Pack signed defenseman Chris Ortiz to a one-year AHL contract for the 2025-26 season. Ortiz, this past season, played in 23 games for the Providence Bruins, and he recorded seven assists. He was a plus-eight with four penalty minutes. In eight Calder Cup Playoff games, he had an assist. Ortiz was a minus-two with eight penalty minutes. He played one game for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins but didn’t record a point. Ortiz played in 45 games with the Wheeling Nailers this past season as well. He had 39 points on five goals and 34 assists. He was a +19 with two power-play goals and 17 penalty minutes.

Ortiz was a +21 with three power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, four game-winning goals, and 117 penalty minutes. He played in 17 Kelly Cup Playoff games and recorded 11 assists. He is a minus-three with eight penalty minutes.
