
The Hersey Bears last week went 2-0-0-0 to extend their lead in the Atlantic Division. With the four points over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the lead is now five for first place in the division. They played on Tuesday, February 11th at Hershey Bears Hockey at Giant Center in Hershey, PA. The Bears beat the Penguins 5-4. The second game was played Saturday at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre Township, PA. The Bears came away with a 4-3 overtime win in that game. Due to the Bears’ success, AHL Player of the Week honors were awarded to Hendrix Lapierre. He recorded five points on two goals and three assists. This season in 13 games with Hershey he has 11 points on two goals and nine assists. In the NHL with the Washington Capitals in 27 games he has eight assists.

Hendrix Lapierre
The Washington Capitals drafted Lapierre with the 22nd overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. In 2021-22 he played in the QMJHL, in 40 games he recorded 51 points on 21 goals and 30 assists. He then joined the Capitals playing in six games recording a goal. In 2022-23 he spent all season with the Bears playing in 60 games. Lapierre recorded 30 points on 15 goals and 15 assists. Last season he spent time between the Capitals and Bears. In 51 games with the Capitals, he recorded 22 points on eight goals and 14 assists. Lapierre in 21 games with the Bears recorded 17 points on five goals and 12 assists.
