
The Hershey Bears are bringing back a defenseman as they re-signed defenseman Nick Leivermann to an AHL contract for the 2025-26 season. In 37 games this season, he recorded 16 points on three goals and 13 assists. He was a plus-five with a game-winning goal and 12 penalty minutes. In three Calder Cup Playoff games this season, he didn’t register a point. He was a plus-one and had two penalty minutes.

Nick Leivermann
The Colorado Avalanche drafted Leivermann 187th overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Leivermann played his college hockey at the University of Notre Dame. In five seasons with the Irish, he appeared in 147 games. Leivermann recorded 78 points on 23 goals and 55 assists. He was a +29 with 42 penalty minutes. In his first season with the Bears in 2023-24, he played in three games and recorded an assist. He also appeared in three Calder Cup Playoff games but didn’t record a point. Leivermann had two penalty minutes. He was a minus-one. Leivermann also played in 48 games with the South Carolina Stingrays that season, recording 34 points on ten goals and 24 assists. He was a minus-three with 32 penalty minutes.
