This morning, 29-year-old forward Jake Gaudet signed with the Belfast Giants of the EIHL. In 41 games for the Cleveland Monsters, he had six points on a goal and five assists. He was a minus-eight with 30 penalty minutes. He was loaned to the Providence Bruins in the trade that saw Drew Bavaro head to Cleveland. In three games with the Bruins, he had five points on two goals and three assists. He was a plus-four with a game-winning goal and two penalty minutes.

Gaudet went to UMass for college. In four seasons, he played in 152 games, recording 66 points on 25 goals and 41 assists. He was a +36 with five power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, eight game-winning goals, and 163 penalty minutes. He played in 161 career AHL games, 158 of those with the Monsters. Gaudet had 36 points on 14 goals and 22 assists. He was a -20 with two power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, two game-winning goals, and 111 penalty minutes. In 12 Calder Cup Playoff games, he had five points on three goals and two assists. He was even in plus/minus with a game-winning goal and four penalty minutes. In 16 ECHL games, he has eight points on four goals and four assists. He is a minus-three with a power-play goal, a game-winning goal, and 23 penalty minutes.
