
This morning, it was reported that Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins defenseman Justin Lee is signing with HC Banska Bystrica of Slovakia. Lee, this season in 18 games for the Penguins, had two assists. He was a plus-six with 19 penalty minutes. In three games with the Wheeling Nailers, he scored a goal and added an assist.

Lee spent four seasons at the University of Denver. He was a captain in his final season. In year one, he played in 31 games, recording six points on two goals and four assists. He was a plus-two with a power-play goal and 22 penalty minutes. In his second season, he played in 24 games, recording six points on four goals and two assists. He was a minus-six with six penalty minutes. In his third season, he had 16 points in 38 games on three goals and 13 assists. He was a +23 with 30 penalty minutes. In his final season, in 40 games, he had 13 points on six goals and seven assists. He was a +30 with four game-winning goals and 59 penalty minutes.
Lee joined the Penguins and went pointless in eight games. He was a minus one with two penalty minutes. In 2023-24, he played in just two games for the Penguins and was held pointless. He was even in plus/minus with two penalty minutes. Lee also played in 63 games with the Nailers, recording 33 points on nine goals and 24 assists. He was a plus-two with three power-play goals, a game-winning goal, and 55 penalty minutes. In nine Kelly Cup Playoff games, he had nine points on three goals and six assists. He was a plus-six with seven penalty minutes.
