
The Ontario Reign today added another goalie as they signed Mattias Sholl to an AHL contract for the 2025-26 season. Sholl last season in four games with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, going 2-2-0 with a 2.81 goals-against average, and a .927 save percentage.

Mattias Sholl
Sholl played in 2018-19 and 2019-20 with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the NAHL. In 2018-19 in 25 games, he went 17-1-4 with a 1.69 goals-against average, a .934 save percentage, and six shutouts. The next season, in 41 games, he went 29-8-3 with a 1.99 goals-against average, a .924 save percentage, and three shutouts. He then went and played for the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL. In 27 games, he went 7-16-2 with a 3.68 goals-against average and an .888 save percentage. He then attended Bemidji State University for four seasons. In year one, in 26 games, he went 13-13-0 with a 2.75 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage. In year two, he played in 30 games, going 11-13-5 with a 2.26 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage, and a shutout. The 2022-23 season was his third season, and in 24 games, he went 14-8-2 with a 2.48 goals-against average, a .910 save percentage, and three shutouts. Last season was his final season. He played in 37 games, going 14-17-5 with a 2.81 goals-against average, a .897 save percentage, and two shutouts.
