Hershey Bears News & Notes:

Hershey is now on the verge of elimination after dropping the last two games. They jumped out to an early 1-0 series lead, but now things have shifted. The Bears are averaging two goals per game while allowing 2.3 goals per game. Hunter Shepard is posting a 2.42 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage. He stopped 22 of the 26 shots he faced in Sunday’s loss.

Lehigh Valley has taken control of the series and, with a win tonight at home, advances to the division finals, but a loss forces a winner-take-all game five in Hershey. The Phantoms in the Calder Cup Playoffs are averaging three goals per game while allowing two goals per game. Parker Gahagen is posting a 2.00 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage. He stopped 15 of the 17 shots on Sunday. Cal Petersen replaced him, and he stopped all 15 shots he faced.
