The Rocket picked up a 3-2 win over the Monsters on Wednesday to start the series. Jacob Fowler stopped 23 of the 25 shots he faced in Wednesday night’s win.

Cleveland MonstersNews & Notes:

The Monsters hung around on Wednesday night against the top team in the whole AHL. Jet Greaves got the start for Cleveland, stopping 29 of the 32 shots he faced. Through three games in the playoffs, Greaves is posting a 2.39 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.

Laval Rocket

Sean Farrell leads the team in points and goals after game one, as he scored two goals in Wednesday’s 3-2 win. Alex Barre-Boulet, Laurent Dauphin, Adam Engstrom, Brandon Gignac, and Logan Mailloux all had assists. Engstrom and David Reinbacher are both plus-two.

Cleveland Monsters

Denton Mateychuk leads the Monsters in points and in goals with five points and three goals. Madison Bowey and Trey Fix-Wolansky each have three assists to lead Cleveland. Bowey, Luca Pinelli, Guillaume Richard, and Stanislav Svozil are all plus-two.
