Lehigh Valley advanced to this matchup with Hershey by sweeping the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in two games in their first-round matchup. The Phantoms outscored the Penguins 8-4 in those two games. Lehigh Valley finished the regular season 5-4-1-0 against Hershey, averaging 2.8 goals per game.
