Texas Stars News & Notes:

The Stars picked up a win last Tuesday to kick the series off. They posted a 4-0 shutout win. Remi Poirier got the start for Texas, and he stopped all 29 shots he faced.

Grand Rapids Griffins News & Notes:

The Griffins had Sebastian Cossa in goal to start and he allowed all four Texas goals on 19 shots he faced. Jack Campbell came in relief of Cossa and stopped all 11 shots he faced for Grand Rapids.

Kole Lind, Cameron Hughes, and Matej Blumel lead the Stars in points with two. Lind, Kyle Capobianco, Curtis McKenzie, and Emilio Pettersen each scored goals in game one. Hughes and Blumel lead in assists with two each. Capobianco and Luke Krys are both plus-two entering tonight’s game two.

Grand Rapids Griffins

Due to being shut out, the Griffins don’t have anyone with any points. Only Emmittt Finnie, Gabriel Seger, Sheldon Dries, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, and Dominik Shine are even in plus/minus after game one.
