AHL: Rockford IceHogs Sign Forward for 2025-26 Season

The Rockford IceHogs have announced that they have signed 6’1″ forward Connor Mylymok for the 2025-26 season. Mylymok spent the 2024-25 season in the Calgary organization.

Connor Mylymok Junior and Collegiate Career

Following in his father’s footsteps, Connor Mylymok started his junior career with the Notre Dame Hounds in the SJHL, where he spent a little over a season. In 57 games with the Hounds, Mylymok had eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points with 113 penalty minutes.

After playing in the SJHL, Mylymok continued his junior career playing in the US. He spent time in the NAHL with the Austin Bruins and the USHL with the Youngstown Phantoms. In five games with Youngstown, Mylymok had two assists with four penalty minutes and a +1. Mylymok spent three seasons with the Bruins, playing in 122 games where he had 20 goals and 30 assists for 50 points with 382 penalty minutes and a -13. Mylymok captained the Bruins in the 2020-21 season, his final season in juniors.

After completing his year in juniors, Mylymok started his collegiate career at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, where he spent two seasons. In 47 games with Fairbanks, Mylymok had four goals and ten assists for 14 points. After his sophomore season concluded, Mylymok decided to test the portal and found himself a spot at Niagara University, joining his brother Luke. In his one season at Niagara, Mylymok played in 37 games, where he had six goals and five assists for 11 points.

Professional Career

Mylymok finished his junior season with Niagara and then signed his first professional contract, signing in the ECHL with the Idaho Steelheads, where his father’s jersey is in the rafters. Playing in the remainder of the 2023-24 season with the Steelheads, Mylymok played in 11 games, putting up three goals.

Mylymok then signed a two-way contract with the Calgary Wranglers in the AHL for the 2024-25 season. He then spent a lot of the season in the ECHL with the Rapid City Rush, playing in 40 games. He had 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points. Mylymok played in eight games with the Wranglers.

Mylymok should be a great addition to the IceHogs. He brings a lot of speed with his forecheck and backcheck. He is also not afraid to sacrifice his body a bit to help his team gain some momentum. Whether it’s laying a hit, making a play, or dropping his gloves, Connor Mylymok will do just about anything for his team. While Connor does not always have a letter, his leadership is still there with his commitment to his team and teammates.

The 2025-26 season will be Mylymok’s third professional season and first with the IceHogs organization.
