The Rockford IceHogs signed defenseman Tyson Feist to a one-year AHL contract. Feist appeared in one game with the Syracuse Crunch, recording an assist. The Canadian defenseman was a plus-one with seven penalty minutes. In 57 games with the Orlando Solar Bears, he had 17 points on three goals and 14 assists. He was even in plus/minus with a power-play goal and 81 penalty minutes. In 12 Kelly Cup Playoff games, he had four assists. He was a minus-four with 22 penalty minutes.

The 24-year-old defenseman spent time in the WHL playing for the Spokane Chiefs, the Regina Pats, and the Kelowna Rockets. In 187 games, he had 72 points on 19 goals and 53 assists. The 6-3, 207 lbs defenseman was a +15 with 206 penalty minutes. In five playoff games, he had an assist. He was a minus-three with six penalty minutes. He’s appeared in 44 career AHL games between the Crunch and the Chicago Wolves. He recorded eight points on a goal and seven assists. He had a minus-four and 51 penalty minutes. In 88 career ECHL games, all with the Solar Bears, he had 33 points on eight goals and 25 assists. He was a plus-one with a power-play goal and 103 penalty minutes.
