
The former San Diego Gulls defenseman Rodwin Dionicio is signing with EHC Biel-Bienne of the NL. In 24 games last season for the Gulls, he had nine points on five goals and four assists. He was a minus-six with a power-play goal and 42 penalty minutes. He was then loaned to the NHL for EHC Biel-Bienne, where in nine games he had six assists. Dionicio was a plus-two with 14 penalty minutes. He also played in 14 playoff games in the U20 elite league, where he recorded 11 points on six goals and five assists. He had 32 penalty minutes.

The 21-year-old defenseman spent three seasons in the OHL, spending time with the Niagara IceDogs, Windsor Spitfires, and Saginaw Spirit. In 167 games, he had 154 points on 46 goals and 108 assists. He was a plus-four with 15 power-play goals, four game-winning goals, and 229 penalty minutes. In 19 playoff games in the OHL, he had 18 points on six goals and 12 assists. He was a minus-four with a power-play goal and 28 penalty minutes. He also represented Switzerland in the World Juniors. In three seasons, he played in 35 games, recording 15 points on six goals and nine assists. He was a minus-seven with 22 penalty minutes.
