AHL: Syracuse Crunch Sign Tommy Miller

The Syracuse Crunch remains active this offseason. Yesterday, they signed Brendan Furry from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Today, they added a defenseman from the Toronto Marlies as they signed Tommy Miller to a one-year AHL contract. Miller, in 35 games this season with the Marlies, had three points, all on assists. He was a plus-one with ten penalty minutes.

In three seasons with the Marlies, Miller played in 119 games, recording 15 points, including 1 goal and 14 assists; that lone goal came in the 2023-24 season. He is a +23 with 28 penalty minutes. The Michigan native has played in just two Calder Cup Playoff games, recording two assists. He is a plus-two as well.

Miller, before joining the Marlies, spent his first four collegiate seasons with Michigan State. In 135 games, he had 27 points on five goals and 22 assists. He was a -21 with 26 penalty minutes. Miller then transferred to Northeastern for his final season. In 39 games, he had a goal and eight assists. He was a plus-five with 12 penalty minutes. In 2022-23, he played in 15 games in the ECHL with the Newfoundland Growlers. He had six points on two goals and four assists. He was a +14 with six penalty minutes.
