
This morning, it was announced that 27-year-old forward Tim Gettinger is signing with the Schwenninger Wild Wings of the DEL. Gettinger this past season played in 54 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins, recording 16 points on seven goals and nine assists. He was a minus-eight with 19 penalty minutes.

The New York Rangers drafted Gettinger 141st overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He spent four seasons in the OHL with the Soo Greyhounds. In 242 games, he had 187 points on 91 goals and 96 assists. He was a +67 with 125 penalty minutes. In 53 playoff games with the Greyhounds, he had 35 points on 13 goals and 22 assists. He was a plus-eight with six penalty minutes. Gettinger then joined the Rangers organization, where he appeared in 16 games for the Rangers, recording an assist. He was a minus one.
Gettinger played in 237 games for the Hartford Wolf Pack, recording 133 points on 62 goals and 71 assists. He was a minus-two with 25 power-play goals, three shorthanded goals, 12 game-winning goals, and 126 penalty minutes. He spent two seasons with the Griffins, playing in 109 games, recording 41 points on 19 goals and 22 assists. Gettinger was a minus-nine with four power-play goals and 20 penalty minutes. He concludes his AHL tenure, appearing in 346 games, recording 174 points on 81 goals and 93 assists. He was a -11 with 29 power-play goals, three shorthanded goals, 12 game-winning goals, and 165 penalty minutes. In 20 Calder Cup Playoff games, he had nine points on two goals and seven assists. He was a plus-two with a shorthanded goal and seven penalty minutes.
