AHL: Toronto Re-Signs Two Forwards

The Toronto Marlies today re-signed two forwards to AHL contracts for the 2025-26 season. Cédric Paré and Sam Stevens return to the Marlies. For Paré, it’ll be his second season in Toronto, and for Stevens, it’ll be his third. Paré last season in 59 games recorded 26 points on 12 goals and 14 assists. He was a +15 with a power-play goal, two shorthanded goals, and three game-winning goals; he also had 43 penalty minutes. Stevens, in 21 games, recorded four points on two goals and two assists. He was a plus-three with a game-winning goal and four penalty minutes.

Cédric Paré

Paré has appeared in 207 career AHL games between the Marlies, Colorado Eagles, and Belleville Senators. He has 95 points on 39 goals and 56 assists. Paré is a +23 with eight power-play goals, two shorthanded goals, ten game-winning goals, and 127 penalty minutes. In nine career Calder Cup Playoff games, he has six points on four goals and two assists. He is a minus-two with two power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, a game-winning goal, and eight penalty minutes. Paré played in 76 career ECHL games and recorded 50 points on 22 goals and 28 assists. He is plus-two with five power-play goals and 44 penalty minutes. In three Kelly Cup Playoff games, he had three points on two goals and an assist. He was a plus-one with a power-play goal.

Sam Stevens

In 2023-24, Stevens played one game with the Marlies and didn’t register a point. Before the Marlies, he played in 142 games at Boston University. He had 50 points on 26 goals and 24 assists. Stevens was a +34 with two shorthanded goals and three game-winning goals.
