AHL: Utica Comets Acquire Defenseman from Grand Rapids

The Utica Comets are in last place in the North Division currently sitting at 52 points, ten points back of a playoff spot. They traded for defenseman Tory Dello from Grand Rapids today. It’s a move the Griffins needed in order to make room for Anton Johansson who signed an entry-level contract yesterday. Johansson is expected to join Grand Rapids this weekend so moving Dello opens a roster spot. Dello also wasn’t seeing much ice time with the Griffins, so now it opens more playing time for the 28-year-old. The Comets are sending future consideration to Grand Rapids.
