AHL: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Sign 21-Year-Old Forward

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today signed 21-year-old forward Max Graham to a two-year AHL contract this afternoon. Graham last season in 34 games for the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League. Graham had 35 points on 13 goals and 22 assists. He was a minus-one with two power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, a game-winning goal, and 79 penalty minutes.

Graham was drafted 139th overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. The Penguins acquired the rights to Graham in March in the trade that sent Cody Glass to the Devils. In Graham’s first season in the Western Hockey League, he played in 18 games for the Everett Silvertips, recording two assists. He was plus-one with six penalty minutes.

The next season, he joined Kelowna. He played in 64 games in his first season, recording 33 points on ten goals and 23 assists. He was a plus-ten with a shorthanded goal and 43 penalty minutes. In 2022-23, he played in 54 games, recording 21 points on 13 goals and eight assists. He was a -15 with five power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, and 65 penalty minutes. In the 2023-24 season with the Rockets, he played in 67 games, recording 42 points on 20 goals and 22 assists. He was a minus-three with three power-play goals, three shorthanded goals, two game-winning goals, and 135 penalty minutes. In 20 career playoff games, he has ten points on five goals and five assists. He was a minus-six with three power-play goals and 22 penalty minutes.
