TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston reported Thursday that Boston Bruins forward Trent Frederic is considered week-to-week after leaving Tuesday’s overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs with a lower-body injury. Johnston also mentioned that the injury will not change the likelihood of Frederic getting traded ahead of the March 7 trade deadline.

Trent Frederic Stats & Salary Cap

Before morning skate in preparation for Boston’s home game against the New York Islanders on Thursday night, Bruins Interim Head Coach Joe Sacco confirmed Frederic’s status. Frederic reportedly has a market for his services with his hometown St. Louis Blues and New York Rangers being possible suitors among others.

Frederic has eight goals and 15 points in 57 games this season. He had a career-best 18 goals and 40 points in 82 games last season, with three goals and five points coming in 13 playoff games.

The rugged forward was chosen with the 29th overall by the Bruins in the 2016 draft and has compiled 55 goals and 109 points in 337 games.
