Anaheim Ducks Expected to Have Star Forward Return Tonight

The Anaheim Ducks will face the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers tonight in Sunrise, FL. The Ducks are currently nine points out of the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference. They do however have a schedule after tonight that could allow them to get back into the race as they face the Pittsburgh Penguins, Nashville Predators, Seattle Kraken, and Calgary Flames to wrap up the month. They will enter this part of the schedule with a boost as Trevor Zegras is expected to return tonight. Zegras hasn’t played since December 4th missing 22 games. The Ducks could use the boost of Zegras as they’ve been shutout in three of the last five games. He is expected to play on the second line alongside Leo Carlsson and Alex Killorn; he will also be on the second power-play unit with Killorn, Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier, and Olen Zellweger.
