
The Anaheim Ducks made their first signing off free agency as they signed forward Mikael Granlund to a three-year deal with a $7 million AAV. Granlund last season spent time with the San Jose Sharks before being traded to the Dallas Stars. In 83 games, he had 66 points on 22 goals and 44 assists. He finished even in plus/minus and had 19 power-play points. The Ducks add some scoring to their top six after trading Trevor Zegras just last week.

Mikael Granlund
The Minnesota Wild drafted Granlund ninth overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. In 902 career games between five teams, he has 610 points on 179 goals and 431 assists. He is a -26 for his career with 187 power-play points, and he has 32 career game-winning goals. Granlund is coming off a back-to-back 60-point season, which before 2023-24 he had only reached that mark three other times, with those coming in 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2021-22. His career high in points is 69, which came in 2016-17, goals are 26, which came in 2016-17, and assists were 53, which he did in 2021-22. He finished as high as 13th in Selke Trophy voting, which came in 2016-17; he also finished third in Lady Byng trophy voting that season.
