Burakovsky suffered an injury in the Kraken’s weekend contest against the New York Rangers. Burakovsky was hit by Rangers captain Jacob Trouba and crashed awkwardly into the board’s shoulder first. The Kraken forward got up, reaching for his collarbone area, and he would leave the game and not return. Trouba was given two minutes for roughing on the play.
Burakovsky, 28, was finally able to play games after sitting out a lengthy amount of time in the 2022-23 season due to a groin injury. He only suited up for 49 games for the Kraken and subsequently missed the Kraken’s first franchise playoff run. The Kraken will hope that Burakovsky can return to full health in the given timeline. Losing Burakovsky is a massive blow to the Seattle Kraken, in addition to the Kraken losing Brandon Tanev.
