Prior to coming to the ECHL, Albrecht played in the NAHL with the Wichita Falls Wildcats from 2013-2016, with his best year coming in his final season as he scored 60 points (26G,34A) in 58 games played.

Last season, among the four teams Albrecht played with, he scored 14 goals, adding 29 assists, which is good for 43 points in 60 games played. In the signing announcement, Albrecht said, “ I can’t wait to be back in Portland and play in front of the best fans in the league.” He then went on to add, “Last year, I got a taste of Maine and the city of Portland, and I can’t wait to be back-this time to finish the job.”
