Ben Meyers Traded to the Anaheim Ducks

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Ben Meyers has been traded to the Anaheim Ducks; in return, the Avalanche gets a 2024 5th-round pick.
Meyers, a 5’11”, 194lb left winger who shoots left, has seen action in nine NHL games, scoring one goal. While scouts believe he’s ready for a bottom-six role with Anaheim, his offensive contributions have been limited. Notably, he previously played under Greg Cronin in the AHL with the Colorado Eagles. Despite being undrafted, Meyers was a sought-after free agent thanks to three impressive college hockey seasons. Although his offensive skills are developing slowly at the NHL level, he’s actively learning defensive positioning across all zones. While the potential for success is evident, he remains a work in progress.

Ben Meyers shared positive remarks about working with Greg Cronin and the atmosphere within the Colorado Avalanche organization. According to Meyers, the experience was “awesome,” emphasizing the great atmosphere and camaraderie in the locker room. He highlighted the challenging but supportive environment, noting that it provides an excellent opportunity to develop and enhance one’s skills.
