On Tuesday, the Columbus Blue Jackets signed center Jack Roslovic to a two-year, $8 million contract extension. Roslovic’s contract has an average annual value of $4 million per year. The 25-year-old center was a 2015 first-round pick (25th) of the Winnipeg Jets.
The Columbus, Ohio native set career highs in goals, assists, points, and games played in 2021-22. Roslovic posted 22 goals with 23 assists in 81 games and was the team’s King Clancy Award nominee this season. The 6’1”, 195-pound forward made his NHL debut with Winnipeg in Columbus in 2017.
Roslovic played three seasons with the Jets before requesting a trade. In 2021, Roslovic was traded with Patrick Laine to Columbus for Pierre-Luc Dubois and a third-round pick.
