The Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers made a trade just before the start of Free Agency, as the Bruins are acquiring forward Viktor Arvidsson from the Oilers. Boston is sending a 2027 fifth-round pick to Edmonton. There is no salary retention as Edmonton sheds off $4 million. Arvidsson is signed for two years with a $2 million AAV. He will be a nice piece to the Bruins’ lineup for the next two seasons. Arvidsson last season in 67 games recorded 27 points on 15 goals and 12 assists. He was a minus-three and had three power-play points as well as two game-winning goals. In the playoffs this season, he had seven points on two goals and five assists. Arviddson was a plus-three.

Viktor Arvidsson
The Nashville Predators drafted Arvidsson with the 112th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. In 11 seasons between the Predators, Los Angeles Kings, and Oilers, he appeared in 613 games. He has 389 points on 194 goals and 195 assists. He is a career +43 with 74 power-play points and 33 game-winning goals. In 87 career playoff games, he has 44 points on 15 goals and 29 assists. Arvidsson is a minus-four and has eight power-play points as well as three game-winning goals.
