Early this morning, November 16th, Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced multiple roster moves before the matinee vs. the St. Louis Blues.
Hampus Lindholm Placed on Injured Reserve
Hampus Lindholm has been absent from the Bruins roster since his injury against the Blues earlier in the week. On Wednesday, Jim Montgomery mentioned that Lindholm would be ‘out weeks’ with a lower-body injury, which was later classified as a fractured knee cap.
AHL Call-Ups
Georgii Merkulov and Riley Tufte have both been recalled from the Providence Bruins. Tufte had played two games with Boston before the demotion to Providence, where he tallied 4 points(3 goals, 1 assist) in 6 games with the PBruins.
Georgii Merkulov started his season in Providence, skating in 12 games this season and scoring 11 points(2 goals, 9 assists). Merkulov has been a points machine in the AHL, putting up 131 points in 146 games since the 2022-23 season. The undrafted free agent will have the opportunity to impact this Bruins roster floundering early this season.
Patrick Brown Assigned to AHL Providence Bruins
Patrick Brown has been reassigned back to the AHL Providence Bruins after being recalled for one game against the Dallas Stars. Brown, current captain of the PBruins, has skated in 12 games and tallied 7 points(3 goals, 4 assists) so far in the AHL this season.
