Boston Bruins Announce Jersey Numbers for New Additions

Earlier this morning, the Boston Bruins social media lit up with the new announcements and jersey numbers. For some, newly acquired players changing numbers and pulling over the Black and Gold for the first time is a fun and exciting moment. Especially when a fan favorite returns.

Milan Lucic – #17
James van Riemsdyk – #21; formerly #25
Morgan Geekie – #39; formerly #67
Kevin Shattenkirk – #12; formerly #22
Patrick Brown – #38

Seeing Milan Lucic back in #17 is going to be a spectacular sight come October. JVR going back to #21 that he wore while in Toronto, a number that Fabian Lysell wore during his preseason time with Boston. I will assume that Lysell will be looking for a permanent number this preseason.
