Boston Bruins Load Up Providence for Calder Cup Run
Stephanie Travers - Inside The Rink

The Boston Bruins’ season ended yesterday with a 5-4 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils. With the loss and the season ending, the Bruins today reassigned forwards John Farinacci, Vinni Lettieri, Fabian Lysell, and Fraser Minten, as well as defenseman Frederic Brunet, to Providence. The Providence Bruins play tonight against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, with one game left after tonight in their regular season. They are currently in the fourth spot in the Atlantic Division. With a loss tonight, they will stay there. They do have a chance to climb as high as the two seed. If they are the two seed, they’ll have a first-round bye; if not, they’ll play either Lehigh Valley or Springfield.
