Boston Bruins prospect Andre Gasseau was named the Hockey East Co-Player of the Week after scoring three goals and adding three assists for Boston College as they swept their weekend series with the University of Vermont.
The Los Angeles native was drafted by Boston in the seventh round of the 2021 NHL Draft and is finishing his junior year on one of the top teams in the nation. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound forward has 13 goals and 13 assists in 31 games this season and has totaled 35 goals and 49 assists in his collegiate career. Gasseau is four points away from setting a career-high.
The Bruins have the rights to the unsigned winger until 30 days after his senior season. However, Gasseau could elect to sign an entry-level contract with Boston and forgo his senior season. Gasseau is a 21-year-old left-shot forward who is teammates with fellow Bruins prospects Oskar Jellvik and Dean Letourneau.
